Terms and Conditions

  1. Only approved materials may be loaded into the skip container. For a list of exceptions please see our FAQ page.

  2. If the skip container is required to be placed on a public highway a permit will need to be obtained from your local council prior to the commencement of the skip hire period.

  3. M&K Skip Hire (London) Ltd will not be liable for any penalties or other liabilities arising as a result of the failure to comply with Section 139 of the Highway Act 1980.

  4. M&K Skip Hire (London) Ltd reserve the right to request supporting documentation from the customer relating to compliance with Local Authority road permits and suspended parking bay authorisations.

  5. Responsibility for maintaining validity of Local Authority permits and authorisations along with keeping M&K Skip Hire (London) Ltd updated with need for renewal of permit(s), remain with the customer at all times.

  6. Where it is necessary for our vehicles to leave the Public Highway and enter private property to deliver or collect a skip container or any other materials, please be aware that the customer is responsible for claims, damages or expenses M&K Skip Hire (London) Ltd may thereby sustain whether as a result of damage to the vehicles themselves, property or skip containers.

  7. M&K Skip Hire (London) Ltd is indemnified against all claims, demands and costs arising from damage to property, third parties claims or personal injury to the customer or any third parties howsoever arising.

  8. Customers shall reimburse M&K Skip Hire (London) Ltd in respect of any loss or damage to the skip containers whilst on hire to them, whatever the cause may be, with the exception of general wear and tear. The customer shall also fully indemnify M&K Skip Hire (London) Ltd in respect of any claims for injury to persons or property arising out of the use of the skip containers whilst on hire to them however caused.

  9. An overloaded skip container may be subject to further charges.
